My name is Bob Jordan. I am the Civil Affairs Officer for Region Two US Army MARS. Our members consist of an elite group of dedicated professionals consisting of roughly 5,000 licensed amateur radio operators across the county who volunteer their time, services, and communications expertise – using their personal radio equipment – to assist the Department of Defense and other federal, state, and local agencies with auxiliary communications in the event of a disaster or emergency.

The purpose of this message is to extend an invitation to you and any of your members who might be interested in joining our ranks. To that end I have attached two pdf documents that can explain in detail what we do. I have also included a membership application.
